POSITION PURPOSE The Corporate Safety Specialist is responsible for executing and advancing the organization's corporate safety program across multiple locations within an enterprise office environment. This role conducts risk assessments, leads safety initiatives, drives corrective actions, supports incident investigations, and ensures consistent application of safety practices, procedures, and expectations across assigned sites. The position partners closely with internal and external stakeholders to reduce risk, strengthen compliance, and promote a proactive safety culture. NATURE AND SCOPE This role does not manage people This role reports to: Divisional Leadership Necessary Contacts: Candidate must work cross-functionally with internal and external customers to include all levels of BCBSLA employees & management, consultants, vendors, industry peers. Operates with a moderate level of independence in planning and carrying out responsibilities Must travel to all sites as needed. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Education Bachelor's degree in safety, emergency management, risk management, business administration, or related field required. Four years of related experience may be used in lieu of a degree Work Experience 3 years of experience in corporate safety, workplace safety, compliance, or related field Experience conducting risk assessments, supporting investigations, and delivering training.
