About the role

The Budget Analyst supports the development, monitoring, and analysis of the College's operating and capital budgets. Primary Responsibilities Assist in preparing annual operating and capital budgets Support cost center managers with budget submissions and updates Compile and review budget data for accuracy and completeness Monitor budget-to-actual performance and identify variances Prepare standard and ad hoc financial reports for departments and leadership Analyze historical spending trends to support planning and decision-making Maintain budget data within financial systems (e.g., Workday) Assist in developing and updating budget reports and dashboards Ensure data integrity and consistency across reports Assist departments with budget-related questions Provide guidance to non-financial staff in understanding budgets and reports Partner with Finance, HR, and other administrative offices on budget-related matters Identify opportunities to improve budgeting processes and reporting tools Support implementation of new systems, tools, or procedures Line of Report : The Budget Analyst reports to the Director of Budget and Planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or a related field
