About the role

Duties and Responsibilities: Support the Capesize broking team in the negotiation and fixture process by providing timely market intelligence and operational support. Monitor and analyze dry bulk shipping market activities, with a focus on the Capesize segment. Prepare and distribute daily market updates, including vessel fixtures, freight rates, and route-specific developments to brokers and clients. Maintain and update centralized market databases to ensure the accuracy, relevance, and timeliness of information. Detailed Day to Day task: Update and maintain daily records of Capesize fixtures and freight market developments across key trade routes. Compile and distribute morning market reports for brokers and clients. Support broker communications by preparing market updates and centralized data reports through internal communication channels. Ensure all market data, vessel positions, and cargo information are accurately maintained within internal systems. Assist brokers in distributing cargo and tonnage availability reports to targeted client groups. Follow up on vessel and cargo positions to ensure information remains current and actionable. Monitor market movements and provide relevant updates to support ongoing negotiations and commercial discussions. Job Requirement: Good analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and identify key trends. Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage routine, data-intensive tasks efficiently. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders and clients. Customer-oriented mindset with a professional approach to communication. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required; knowledge of SQL or other data analysis tools is an advantage. Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn about the dry bulk shipping industry. No prior experience required, training will be provided
