About the role
We are seeking a Business Planning Manager to drive strategic planning and commercial excellence within the engineering solutions business. This role focuses on business performance, sales planning, operational efficiency, and cross-functional collaboration to support sustainable growth. Responsibilities
- Develop and execute business plans and commercial strategies aligned with the company's growth objectives

- Oversee sales planning, forecasting, budgeting, and KPI tracking to support business performance
- Collaborate with sales, engineering, procurement, and operations teams to streamline processes and improve project execution
- Drive business process improvements and implement initiatives to enhance productivity and operational efficiency
- Support key account planning and customer retention strategies through commercial analysis and business insights
- Prepare management reports, business reviews, and performance dashboards for senior leadership
- Monitor project profitability, cost performance, and resource planning to support sustainable business growth
- Identify potential business risks and recommend strategies to improve commercial performance
- Lead and support strategic initiatives and ad-hoc business projects assigned by management
Requirements
- Degree in Business, Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related discipline
- At least 5 years of experience in business planning, commercial management, sales operations, or strategic planning within the engineering or industrial sector
- Experience in industrial electrical, instrumentation, M&E, automation, oil & gas, manufacturing, or engineering solutions will be highly advantageous
- Strong analytical skills with experience in business forecasting, budgeting, and performance reporting
- Good understanding of commercial operations, sales processes, and project-based businesses
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments
- Self-driven, analytical, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
