About the role

The primary focus of this role is on revenue and accounts receivable. The person will support the Finance Manager for New Zealand in managing the accounts receivable function, delivering accurate management reporting, and ensuring compliance with finance-related regulations across all Apex New Zealand entities. Job specification Prepare and issue client invoices in accordance with contractual agreements and company policies, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery. Accurately calculate and record monthly net revenue accruals to ensure financial statements reflect the true financial position of the company. Review and support following up on aged debtors. Perform specialized financial analysis as needed to support decision-making, identify trends, and provide insights into financial performance. Develop, implement, and oversee financial controls to safeguard company assets, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and enhance the accuracy of financial reporting. Support the Finance Manager in preparing for and conducting both local and group financial audits, providing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries. Provide financial expertise and support for strategic projects, including planning, execution, and evaluation of project outcomes. Assist in the integration of financial processes and systems where applicable, ensuring smooth transitions and consistency in financial operations. Undertake any other finance-related tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Finance Manager, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the finance function. Skills Required: Experience in billing within the financial services sector. Willingness and ability to handle detailed transactional tasks. Proficient in intermediate to advanced Excel functions. Eager to learn and adapt to new financial systems. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical skills with a focus on effective problem-solving. Self-starter with a passion for business partnering and developing solutions. Collaborative team player with a strong drive and positive attitude. Able to adjust to changing priorities and needs. Able to provide team support/back up. Work independently.
