About the role

Our client is a dynamic and growing family office with multiple holding companies in Singapore. The group manages renewable energy and construction projects overseas, primarily in Sri Lanka and India. They are seeking a highly independent and hands-on Finance & Operations Manager with strong experience in construction/project accounting and operational finance to support the business. Role Overview This is a broad and independent role suitable for a seasoned accountant with strong experience in construction/project-based accounting and operational finance. The successful candidate will manage full-set accounts while driving financial oversight of project performance, cost control, and operational processes across multiple entities and overseas projects.

Responsibilities

  • Finance, Accounting & Project Reporting
  • Handle full-set accounts for multiple holding companies in Singapore
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, financial statements, and group consolidation
  • Oversee accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger functions
  • Manage cash flow, including forecasting, budgeting, and funding requirements for projects
  • Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing
  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and external service providers
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements in Singapore
  • Construction & Project Accounting
  • Monitor and track project costs, budgets, and profitability across construction and renewable energy projects
  • Prepare project-based financial reports, including cost-to-complete, variance analysis, and margin tracking
  • Manage progress billing, revenue recognition, and project cash flow cycles
  • Work closely with project teams to ensure accurate cost allocation and reporting
  • Review and control project expenditures, contracts, and payment schedules
  • Support financial planning and analysis for ongoing and upcoming projects
  • Operations & Business Support
  • Liaise closely with the corporate secretary on company secretarial matters, including board resolutions and statutory records
  • Take charge of all ACRA filings, ensuring timely and accurate submissions
  • Support operational and trading activities, including order processing and transaction tracking
  • Coordinate documentation, contracts, and payment processes for overseas projects
  • Monitor operational costs and identify areas for efficiency improvements
  • Work closely with overseas stakeholders in Sri Lanka and India
  • Support ad-hoc operational and administrative matters as required
  • Occasional travel to overseasoffices may be required
  • Support processes related toprocurement, including import and export of goods and equipment.

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline with a recognised professional qualification (e.g., CA, CPA, ACCA)
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience, with strong exposure to construction/project accounting
  • Experience in project costing, progress billing, and revenue recognition is essential
  • Comfortable working in a highly independent and hands-on environment
  • Experience handling multiple entities or group structures is an advantage
  • Exposure to construction, renewable energy, trading, or project-based industries preferred
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Good communication skills and ability to work with overseas stakeholders
