Creditable specialized experience may have been gained in work on a police force; through service as a military police officer; in work providing visitor protection and law enforcement in parks, forests, or other natural resource or recreational environments; in performing criminal investigative duties; or in other work that provided the required knowledge and skills. GS-03 Your resume must demonstrate at least six months of General experience at or equivalent to the GS-02 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Additional Information This position is subject to an initial drug screening, and random testing thereafter. A negative drug test result must be received by HR within 30 calendar days after the EOD (i.e., start date). The selectee's inability to successfully pass; or refusal to conduct the test may result in: 1) the tentative or final job offer being withdrawn during the recruitment process; or 2) subsequently being removed from Federal service for failure to meet a condition of employment. You may be required to sign a "Drug Test Statement of Understanding" if you are selected for this position. Completion of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) Uniformed Police Training Program is a condition of continued employment. Employee will be required to sign a continuing service agreement prior to travel to the academy. "Agreement to Continue in Service - CSA, Agency requires 36 months of continued employment after the completion of required training from the FLETC in accordance with Title 5 USC 4108 and 5 CFR410.309. Failure to voluntary complete length of employment requirement can subject employee to reimburse to the agency for fees, such as tuition and related fees, travel, and other special expenses (excluding salary) paid in connection with the training. Incumbent must be able to read, write and speak English. Must meet OPM hearing and vision requirements to include distinguishing basic shades of color. Employee is required to wear an assigned uniform and display official designated items or accessories to include additional required equipment. The employee must follow and adhere to applicable grooming standards for the installation. Shall be required to be CPR certified and utilize a portable heart defibrillator where available.
