[Summer 2026] Cheer Coach - Middle School

Requirements

• 18+ years old and high school diploma or equivalent required by June 30, 2025;
• Ability to facilitate high quality recreation programming with large groups of adolescents in an outdoor environment while ensuring student safety;
• Ability to independently follow practice plans/lesson plans;
• Exhibits high energy, warmth, enthusiasm and patience in working with adolescents;
• Demonstrated success as a recreation specialist strongly preferred;
• Demonstrated success as a middle school athletics coach strongly preferred;
• Experience as an athlete preferred;
• Experience working in a summer camp, youth development, recreation or athletics setting;
• Ability to uphold, promote, and model positive youth development principles;
• Experience with behavior management, including positive youth development, preferred;
• Ability to quickly problem-solve in the moment;
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team setting;
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, organization skills and attention to detail;
• Skilled problem-solver and self-starter;
• Bilingual (English/Spanish), a plus;

DREAM University Athletics Coaches implement outdoor skill-based sport and recreational lessons based on DREAM's curriculum. The ideal candidate is a reliable team player with a commitment to youth development and experience with one or multiple sports as a player and coach.
