Schedule: 40 hours per week; Tuesday-Friday- 1pm until close, around 10pm, Saturday- 10am-7pm Works closely with the Recreation Director and assists in the development, planning, coordination, marketing and/or implementation of recreation programs and events, and maximizing participation and engagement. Key Accountabilities: Assists in directing all recreational leagues in accordance with HealthFitness operational, quality, safety and service standards. Assist in developing a client site campus Recreation Program that will identify, create, and leverage existing recreation opportunities in area. Assists in coordinating marketing of programs to maximize outreach and engagement; develops and distributes electronic and print promotional materials to communicate program offerings and special events. Makes recommendations along with Rec Coordinator for future program enhancements or modifications. Maintain highest level communication through client interactions, appearance and marketing material. Coordinate meeting times and locations. Plan, organize, and administer a limited year-round schedule of recreation and leisure programs for all employees. Assist members to host and support onsite/offsite events and activities (e.g., tennis, pickleball, basketball, volleyball, etc). Other duties as needed/assigned Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science, Recreation, Sports Management or related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, industry experience and current certification(s) from a HealthFitness approved provider. 1+ years related industry experience. Current First Aid and CPR/AED or BLS certification through either American Heart Association or American Red Cross. Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work demands. Must be able to stand for 50% of scheduled shift. Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills including the ability to motivate others. Preferred: Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, clients, and client vendor partners. Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including at minimum Word, Excel and Outlook. Experience organizing and running leagues and tournaments. The compensation range for this role is $17.00 - $18.00 per hour. The final wage offer will be determined based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, skill set, and other relevant factors.
