Responsibilities

  • The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $110,000. Final agreed upon compensation will be commensurate with individual education, professional designation, experience, internal parity, and location.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mining or Geological Engineering
  • Minimum five years of mining experience
  • Experience in both short term and long term mine planning
  • Proficient in mine design, planning, and scheduling
  • Proficient in 3D Mine Modeling software (Vulcan, Deswik, MineSight)
  • Skilled in managing large and complex projects
  • Strong communication and technical writing skills
  • Desire to work toward qualification as a Qualified Person (QP) in 5-10 years.
  • Second language in Spanish preferred

We are Making Sustainability Happen. As our new Mining Engineer , you will play an important role on a team whose work is essential to achieving this goal. SLR is currently seeking a full-time Mine Planning Engineer. This position will center on open pit design, planning, and cost estimation.
