Reports to the Senior Manager , and the role involves, What a typical day looks like: AI Vision & Project Leadership Define Enterprise Vision: Establish the strategic roadmap to transition operations from legacy spreadsheet methods to a vision-driven, AI-first ecosystem. Drive End-to-End Delivery: Architect, build, and execute complete, production-grade AI project pipelines from initial data extraction to cloud deployment. Provide Technical Stewardship: Serve as the hands-on technical authority, writing clean, scalable Python code and reviewing architecture to ensure engineering excellence. Legacy Migration & Scale Deconstruct Legacy Systems: Reverse-engineer, map, and dismantle over 700 legacy, Excel-based automation tools and VBA macros. Orchestrate Mass Migration: Re-platform legacy systems into centralized, scalable, cloud-native AI workflows without disrupting day-to-day operations. Establish BPA Standards: Implement standardized Business Process Automation (BPA) methods, error-handling frameworks, and transaction logging across all new solutions. Engineering Data Engineering & Automation Automate Technical Datasets: Design automated pipelines to ingest, parse, and process complex technical engineering data from disparate formats. Execute Data Scrubbing: Architect algorithmic data cleansing, validation, and deduplication workflows using advanced Python data libraries. Perform Complex Manipulation: Build high-performance ETL pipelines using Pandas and NumPy to transform raw technical files into structured datasets ready for AI ingestion. Intelligent Automation & MS Office Integration Deploy Intelligent Mail Workflows: Implement Large Language Models (LLMs) to scan, comprehend, categorize, and execute autonomous decisions on high volumes of incoming Outlook emails. Deeply Integrate Office Tools: Build seamless, programmatic bridges between cloud AI services and desktop Microsoft Office products like Excel and Outlook. Leverage Cloud AI Ecosystems: Utilize cloud Co-pilot platforms and OpenAI API services (including function calling and embeddings) to execute multi-agent enterprise automation. The experience we're looking to add to our team: Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, or related field Specialist: 8-12 years Hybrid AI Engineer and Automation Architect who bridges the gap between legacy corporate workflows and cutting-edge GenAI capabilities. Highly technical AI Specialist to drive our engineering data automation strategy. how will lead the transition of our legacy infrastructure by replacing over 700 Excel-based automation tools with advanced, Python-driven AI solutions. This hands-on role requires an expert who can leverage Cloud Co-pilots, OpenAI API services, and Large Language Models (LLMs) to extract and scrub complex datasets, automate MS Office process / workflows, and implement intelligent, AI-driven decision-making systems. AI & LLM Architecture (Expert) API Frameworks : OpenAI API (GPT models, Function Calling, Assistants API). AI Concepts : Prompt engineering, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), agentic workflows, embeddings, and fine-tuning. Orchestration : Multi-agent systems (e.g., mail comprehension/decision-making). Python & Data Engineering (Expert) Core Language : Production-grade, scalable, clean Python code. Data Manipulation : Advanced Pandas, NumPy, and SciPy for complex engineering data. Data Cleansing : Expert-level knowledge in data parsing, regex, validation, extraction, and automated data scrubbing/deduplication. Microsoft Ecosystem & Integration (Advanced) Excel Automation : Programmatic manipulation via OpenPyXL, XlsxWriter, or Pandas. Outlook/Office Integration : Win32com, Microsoft Graph API, or O365 libraries for reading/routing emails. Cloud Infrastructure : Cloud Co-pilots, Azure AI Studio, AWS Bedrock, or Open AI. Process Automation (Advanced) BPA Methods : Event-driven architecture, state machines, error handling, and transaction logging. Legacy Decoupling : Ability to reverse-engineer Excel VBA/Macros into modern Python/Cloud microservices.
