Job Description: Position Summary Under the direct supervision of the Lead Medical Scribe, the Medical Scribe is responsible for accurately transcribing medical notes related to patient encounters into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system for physician review and approval. This position involves accompanying physicians during patient examinations to document history, physical exams, diagnoses, symptoms, and any treatments or procedures performed. The Medical Scribe also transcribes patient orders, including laboratory tests, radiology tests, and medications, ensuring that all information is entered into the EMR system promptly and correctly. In addition to transcription duties, the Medical Scribe is expected to maintain effective communication with physicians, patients, and other staff, while adhering to safety protocols and safeguarding patient confidentiality. This role requires attention to detail, efficiency, and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment. The Medical Scribe is expected to conduct themselves professionally and carry out other duties as assigned by management.
