Job Responsibilities: As a Mechanical Engineer IV, you will work on a variety of projects, from small to large, providing plumbing design. You will represent the Firm in all interactions with clients, contractors, architects and other project team members Additional responsibilities: Participates in various trade organizations and prepare presentations. As appropriate, manages CAD/BIM and other technical staff that is assigned for particular project or task as directed by the senior engineer and/or senior designer. Assists with employee reviews as requested. Estimates construction costs and to evaluate feasibility of construction using ROM (Rough Order of Magnitude) Writes engineering proposals under the direction of a senior engineer or senior designer for projects Job Requirements: This is a great opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer IV with experience with one of the following markets or a combination of Commercial, Institutional, Healthcare, Aviation as well as experience in Large Infrastructure Design. In addition to your engineering experience, to succeed in this role, you will need a solid knowledge of systems design for various projects with the ability to communicate design concepts via sketches and renderings. Additional requirements: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering; exceptional candidates may substitute with significant years of experience Minimum of 7+ years of relevant experience in the Mechanical Design field Experience with latest version of AutoCAD-MEP, and REVIT A working knowledge of the various applications of fire suppression systems gained through both formal training and project experience Knowledge of Mechanical / Plumbing trades, building codes, and drawings / documents Detailed knowledge of equipment from various manufacturers and the ability to make proper selections independently Ability to independently perform fire suppression hydraulic calculations to support design and estimate construction costs and evaluate feasibility of construction EIT certification required, PE preferred
