About the role
VionData Partners is sourcing a suitably qualified Discipline Support Officer (DSO) to be deployed at Sembawang Primary School. Responsibilities
- Supervision & Discipline Prevention
- Serve as a visible adult presence in high-movement areas and conduct systematic patrols during recess, lunch breaks, and lesson transitions.
- Maintain supervisory presence in the canteen and Multi-Purpose Hall during daily recess periods.
- Support proactive discipline strategies and assist in simple peer reconciliation or mediation where appropriate.
- Latecoming Monitoring
- Record latecomers arriving after 7:30am.
- Manage latecomers data and maintain detention lists.
- In-House Suspension Support
- Help establish a structured environment for suspended students to support learning continuity during suspension.
- Guide students through structured reflective activities and support their transition back into the classroom environment.
- Investigative & Case Support
- Assist in conducting preliminary investigations and fact-finding interviews.
- Obtain student and witness statements where appropriate.
- Compile evidence and prepare structured incident reports for relevant Key Personnel for directions.
- Detention & Restorative Follow-Up
- Supervise detention sessions, including maintaining attendance and behavioural records.
- Coordinate reflection and restorative activities with Student Management Committee members.
- Facilitate student reflection on choices, consequences, and improvement strategies.
- Data Management
- Collate and manage discipline-related data, including latecoming records, discipline statements, and other relevant documentation.
- Deployment & Reporting
- Report operationally to the Student Development Committee.
- Deployment schedule will be determined by the school in accordance with the termly school timetable and school events.

- Requirements - Working Experience

- Alternatively, candidates with at least 5 years of experience in enforcement agencies or youth work settings will be considered.
