Pay Range $93,900.00-$129,100.00 Annual This is the base salary pay range that an applicant can expect to make upon hire. Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors. In addition, this position is eligible for an incentive bonus. The Regional Occupational Health Nurse helps manage all aspects of health and safety. The Regional Occupational Health Nurse works closely with the EH&S team at multiple sites on a variety of medical management activities including injury management, respirator fit testing, employee advocacy, training, case management, proactive health coaching, drug testing, assistance with the Hearing Conservation Program and more. The Regional Occupational Health Nurse supports the corporate Occupational Health Manager in development and administration of efficient and professional operations of occupational health services in accordance with company policies, practices, procedures, and applicable regulations to achieve the desired goals and objectives. Your Day to Day: Manage phone triage following injuries. Case management of work-related injuries including occasionally accompanying employees to medical appointments; follow up with employees; communicate with safety representatives; maintain documentation, etc. Provide nurse case management for ADA and FMLA compliance for the region. Partner with EHS teams to ensure information is updated and accurate in JM's Incident Management reporting system. Provide oversight to ensure all work-related injuries are reported in a timely manner to JM's workers' compensation third party administrator. Support the post-offer, pre-employment medical programs in the region. Perform occupational health audits of facilities in the region and elsewhere, as required by Corporate Health and Safety. Establish and drive continuous improvement with recordkeeping, occupational health monitoring and auditing to ensure compliance with JM policies/programs and federal, state and local regulatory requirements. Develop and implement plant-based wellness activities for the region. Provide oversight to plants in the region regarding their OSHA compliance requirements for occupational health programs such as Hearing Conservation and Respiratory Protection. Assist plants in the region with providing emergency response training including CPR, first aid and AED. Monitor substance abuse procedures including administration of drug testing and partner with HR to provide assistance to employees who come forward for treatment. Partner with plant teams to oversee third-party consultants, where necessary, to improve health and safety at JM facilities. Provide training and medical advice to JM teams in the region. Develop and maintain relationships with all employees through positive employee engagement such as lunch-n-learns, health fairs, and various wellness initiatives. Other related duties, as assigned. What You Bring to the Team: Multi-State license to include all states in the region being supported. Bachelor's degree in nursing with a minimum of 8 years occupational nursing experience. Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN) preferred. Extensive knowledge of workers' compensation and related OSHA regulations. Solid interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
