This may involve polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic services, patient care and education. It may also include caring for patients requiring respiratory therapy not limited to medication administration and care of Trach/Vent patients. $5,000 Sign-on Bonus (External candidates) Hours: 6:30 pm - 7:00 am Schedule: 3 - 12 hour shifts per week Weekends - limited No Holidays Onsite - Milwaukee main hospital Education and Licensure: Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy required Current licensure by the State of Wisconsin as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) required. Current CPR certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart or American Red Cross is required. One of the following required: RPSGT-Registered Polysomnographic Technician - Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists within 2 Years OR RRT-Registered Respiratory Therapist - The National Board for Respiratory Care within 2 Years Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Analytical skills are necessary to resolve complex clinical problems relating to the integration of anatomy and physiology into sleep/wake pathology and patient safety and welfare. Possess adequate time management skills. Interpersonal and communication skills are sufficient to interact with interdisciplinary health team members and consumers. Able to work flexible hours to meet patient and department needs.
