The Impact You'll Make in this Role The person hired for the position of ambulatory audit consultant will have a passion for imparting their knowledge and expertise in professional and ambulatory coding (ICD-10-CM and CPT-4/HCPCS), professional E/M level assignment, Medicare billing/reporting guidelines (e.g., modifiers), risk adjustment, quality metrics, clinical documentation integrity, and coding compliance, to both their customers and their internal team members. The person hired will be involved in coding and documentation audits of professional/ambulatory records, delivery of results, recommendations to customers, program implementations and customer education. The ideal candidate will be expected to work directly and/or collaborate with both internal and external customers. As an Ambulatory Audit Consultant, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. How you will make an impact Participating in client audit engagements Performing outpatient coding audits Identifying and recommending opportunities for customer improvements Interacting with and educating external and internal customers on outpatient coding and documentation related topics Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited university with (8) eight years of experience in a private, public, government or military environment OR High School Diploma/GED AND eleven (11) years of experience in a private, public, government or military environment In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required: CIRCC and/or 5+ years of interventional radiology/cardiology CPT procedure coding experience RHIA OR RHIT OR CCS-P or CPC certification and minimum of five (5) years of professional clinical coding experience Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: Recognized CDI credential from ACDIS (CCDS-O) or AHIMA (CDIP) AAPC risk adjustment certification Proficient Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office programs Excellent verbal, written, presentation, analytical and organizational skills Ability to solve problems in a logical, methodical, and time efficient manner Analytical skills related to independently interpreting, preparing, and analyzing data Demonstrated ability to effect change through team structures and achieve measurable outcomes Proven ability to maintain superior customer and employee relations in a fast-paced environment Experience with telecommuting, working with EMRs and other electronic tools Ability to work with multiple and diverse clients and projects Attention to detail, highly organized, with an absolute focus on quality of work Deep understanding of clinical documentation, medical record coding, healthcare billing and revenue cycle management Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Work location: Remote-United States Travel: May include up to 10%[Domestic/International] Relocation Assistance: none M
