Responsibilities

  • Accurately performs all test procedures as listed in the procedure manual.
  • Performs and records all scheduled instrument preventative maintenance procedures.
  • Follows established quality control procedures, documenting corrective action if necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology, Medical Laboratory Science, Biochemistry or equivalent BS degree which requires completion of clinical rotations through an approved education program required.
  • Completion of an associate degree in medical laboratory technology
  • ASCP Certification preferred
  • Knowledge of clinical laboratory techniques and procedures
  • Knowledge of infection control techniques and procedures
  • Ability to coordinate simultaneous tests and procedures with accuracy
  • Skill in the use of automated laboratory equipment

Job Details Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States. ChristianaCare will not sponsor applicants for this position for an employment visa now or in the future. The ChristianaCare General Laboratory located on the Newark campus, is currently recruiting for a Full-time Flex Medical Laboratory Scientist/Technician. This position is Evening Shift, 2:30pm - 11:00pm. Every other weekend and two to three holidays per year required.
