About the role

Though you may not know us by name, you've most likely enjoyed meals and refreshments supported by our industry-leading brand portfolio. For decades, we've designed and manufactured foodservice equipment for some of the world's biggest, most recognized consumer brands. We are driven to innovate with a clear purpose in mind: to revolutionize the future of foodservice. As a Senior Designer, you will be responsible for executing small design projects or supporting complex projects with 3D CAD, dimensioned drawings and schematics, bill of material management, and PCR/PCN execution. You will drive collaboration with cross-functional teams to perform technical analysis and reviews and oversee the application of critical learnings and environmental factors in the design of equipment. In this role, you will serve as an expert in the design and functionality of our equipment and contribute significantly to MFT's growth and innovation. • Develop technical drawings, models, and specifications using engineering software and tools and update them according to findings from reviews, simulations, testing, and field trials.
  • Develop expertise in the environmental factors, use cases, and consumer values of our equipment, and apply them to the design work
  • Identify areas for improvement in the design process, troubleshoot technical issues, and drive best practices for our design team
  • Lead collaboration with cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, project managers, and stakeholders, to ensure project goals are met
  • Monitor and apply the latest industry design tools and master advanced skills such as surfacing, modelling and referencing of large assemblies, plastic part design for thermoforming or injection molding, and metals design for casting or stamping
  • Actively participate in continuous learning and professional development activities, including attending training programs, and bring learnings to our team by hosting workshops or mentoring team members

Requirements

  • Independent Self-Starter: Takes prompt, proactive action to accomplish work goals with limited oversight
  • Collaborative Partner: Uses interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams

  • Clear Communicator: Speaks and writes effectively to convey technical information, project requirements, and progress updates to team members and stakeholders
  • Skills/Experience We're Looking For
