Responsibilities

  • Extensive use of MATLAB/Simulink or Python
  • Familiarity with high voltage battery systems or power electronics
  • Experience with design and manufacturing of medium to high volume products
  • Hands-on prototyping, validation, and testing experience
  • Passion for renewable energy, sustainability, and driving positive environmental impact through technology innovation
  • Eligible to work in the U.S.

About the Role - Systems Modeling Engineer Peak Energy is looking for a Systems Modeling Engineer to join our Energy Storage Systems (ESS) team and work at the forefront of the development of our gigawatt-scale energy storage systems. This role will leverage deep expertise to drive major thermal and electrical architectural decisions and dive into key electrical and battery component simulation. You will work closely with design, test, validation, manufacturing engineering, and leadership to navigate our products' development - exploring broadly and diving deeply with a drive for rigorous optimization, meticulous documentation, and clear communication of findings. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is hungry for knowledge, holds themselves and others to high standards, and brings a get-it-done attitude to every challenge - big or small.
