Applications are invited for the position of Associate Professor in Intellectual Property Law (Teaching and Research) in the Department of Law and Criminology. The Department of Law and Criminology is part of the Faculty of Business and Law. It is a forward thinking, inter-disciplinary and research active department, which offers undergraduate programmes in Law (LLB), Criminology & Psychology, Criminology & Sociology and Social Sciences; together with Masters programmes in Social Work, Forensic Psychology, and Terrorism and Counter-Terrorism Studies. The Department is also home to an energetic research community and prides itself on its commitment to social justice which is underlined in its teaching, research, and external activities. We seek an outstanding Associate Professor in Intellectual Property Law (broadly conceived) to join our dynamic and multidisciplinary team on our Teaching and Research pathway. In this post, we are looking for applicants to contribute to our research priorities in alignment with the University's values and research themes. The position will involve teaching undergraduate (and potentially postgraduate) core and optional subjects in our Law programmes. Expertise in Intellectual Property Law (broadly conceived) is essential, alongside teaching experience in one of the following core undergraduate modules: Tort Law, Contract Law, Equity and Trusts and/or Land Law. We expect applicants to possess a broad range of skills needed to teach effectively as well as academic leadership and an effective contribution to programme or department administration or projects improving the student experience.
