Job Purpose: Manage inventory accuracy, coordinate cycle count programs, research inventory errors to identify causes, and initiate corrective action to eliminate future discrepancies. Ensure that production has all material necessary for daily build/shipments. Communicate with Purchasing/Planning and manufacturing departments regarding any inventory issues. Essential Job Functions: Complete all miscellaneous work in-process transactions to ensure inventory accuracy. Design, Develop, implement and lead cycle count activities within assigned areas of manufacturing and report results. Develop inventory and cycle count reports, utilizing systems. Coordinate with IT to effectively integrate system software with shop floor protocol. Create Cycle Counts per area and cycle count activities for assigned areas. Research inventory errors to identify issues and initiate corrective action to eliminate the cause. Adjust inventories as allowed through the cycle count procedures. Stay abreast of latest technology and inventory programs related to lean manufacturing. Coordinate inventory activities cross-functionally with Planning, Purchasing, Production and Engineering, to maintain and improve overall inventory accuracy through developing, implementing and providing necessary training for inventory related projects. Work collaboratively with receiving personnel and material handlers to verify in and out bound material for accuracy of part number, quantity, etc. while adhering to FIFO practices. Trouble shoot inventory issues through researching BOM's, routings, receipts, transfers and work order transactions. Work with all departments necessary on implementation of ECNs, including timing of change, updating Jobs and inventory, as well as disposition of changing components. Coordinate physical inventories, work with Production to help conduct counts, enter data and work with Finance to roll counts. Research discrepancies created from the counts and work with Planning/Purchasing to correct errors. Lead all inventory related issues at daily MRB meetings to ensure accuracy and timely disposition of non-conforming products. Run necessary queries and location statuses to move parts in system for assigned production area, including overflow locations to ensure first in-first out. Help with data systems/hardware related issues including but not limited to Touchscreens/Scan Guns and printers. Create data loads for multiple transactions, and streamlining changes, including BOM changes, and inventory moves. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications and Skills Needed: Required Proficiency in software packages including, but not limited to: Oracle, Ultriva, Microsoft Office. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express technical concepts in business terms. Strong project management skills, operating as part of a team, or leading teams to accomplish team objectives. Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work well on cross functional project teams and foster team commitment to tasks. Ability to professionally and effectively manage high sense of urgency situations. Preferred Associate or bachelor's degree in business or 3-5 years in a lean manufacturing environment. Must have a basic understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP). Ability to troubleshoot and test new transactions, printers, hardware and software issues. Working Conditions: This role would be a combination of shop floor (frequently) and office environment. The noise level in the office is generally moderate. Required to sit and input data for extensive periods of time. Frequent walking to various departments.
