Senior DevOps Engineer - Contract/Perm

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of enterprise CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation frameworks
• Architect and deliver reusable Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions (Terraform, Ansible, YAML, cloud-native tooling)
• Drive adoption of DevOps, DevSecOps, and automation-first practices across delivery teams
• Implement cloud governance frameworks , including security controls and operational resilience best practices
• Lead observability initiatives (monitoring, logging, metrics, tracing, alerting)
• Optimise cloud usage and cost efficiency through FinOps practices and performance tuning
• Support container platforms, microservices deployments , and platform engineering capabilities
• Collaborate with architects and technical leaders to align with enterprise architecture standards
• Mentor and guide engineers across DevOps tooling, automation, and cloud engineering practices
• Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex infrastructure and deployment issues
• Contribute to operational governance, risk management, and continuous improvement
• Support high availability, disaster recovery, and resilience planning
• You are a hands-on technical leader with deep DevOps expertise and a passion for improving engineering practices at scale. You enjoy mentoring others, influencing technical direction, and delivering high-impact solutions in complex environments.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in AWS cloud engineering and automation
• Strong expertise across CI/CD tooling and Infrastructure-as-Code frameworks
• Proven experience implementing observability and monitoring solutions
• Solid understanding of DevSecOps, platform engineering, and cloud-native architectures
• Advanced scripting and automation capability (e.g. Python, Bash)
• Demonstrated experience leading engineering initiatives and mentoring teams
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Ability to provide expert technical leadership and guidance
• Experience influencing and uplifting organisational DevOps practices
• Proven track record delivering complex engineering and operational initiatives
• Focus on governance, resilience, scalability, and quality outcomes
