About the role

Maven is building the definitive fertility and family building product. We are hiring a Principal PM to own this surface end-to-end - member experience, clinical outcomes, provider workflows, and commercial performance. You will report to the Director of Clinical Product and work in close partnership with Maternity, AI Experience, and the broader clinical team. This is a greenfield role. The surface is not fully defined. You will define it, build the roadmap, and ship. The right person has deep health-tech experience, moves fast, and knows how to build in an agentic workflow. This is a builder role - hands-on, high-ownership, low overhead. Maven's culture is changing. We are resetting around speed, data-driven decision-making, and deep member obsession. This hire needs to embody that reset.

Responsibilities

  • The Fertility & Family Building product surface: member journey from awareness through outcomes, natural conception, egg freezing, surrogacy, and adjacent family-building programs
  • Product strategy grounded in member and clinical data
  • A member-centric data model: engagement, activation, clinical outcomes. You define the metrics, baseline them, and drive improvement
  • Agentic, AI-native experiences that change member outcomes.
  • Cross-functional relationships across clinical, engineering, design, client success, and growth - you are the connective tissue on this surface

Requirements

  • 7+ years in product, with meaningful time in health-tech (preferably fertility space) or a high-stakes consumer domain
  • Direct experience building with LLMs and agentic systems - you have shipped production AI features, not just prototyped them
  • Strong data instincts - you can wrangle complex member datasets, define the right metrics, and communicate findings credibly across clinical and commercial audiences
  • 0-to-1 track record with measurable member or patient impact
  • Founder mentality: you own the outcome, not just the workstream. You push through ambiguity without waiting for permission
  • Deep clinical empathy - you understand the emotional and medical stakes of fertility journeys and it shows in your product decisions
  • Cross-functional fluency - you are as comfortable in a clinical review as a data deep-dive or an engineering sprint
  • What we will not hire for
  • PMs who execute against a stakeholder list rather than a member need
  • PMs who need a fully defined problem before they can start
  • PMs who outsource data analysis rather than owning it
  • PMs who treat AI as a feature rather than a development workflow
  • What success looks like in 90 days
  • Fertility roadmap defined, aligned, and in execution
  • First experiments in market
  • Member outcome metrics baselined
  • Cross-functional operating rhythm established with clinical, design, and engineering
  • The base salary range for this role is 245,000-340,000 per year. You will also be entitled to receive equity and benefits. Individual pay decisions are based on qualifications, experience, and skillset.
  • Maven embraces a flexible hybrid work model. This role is open to candidates in remote locations with a strong preference for San Francisco, CA; secondary locations include Seattle, WA and New York, NY.
  • Our teams primarily operate from the New York Metropolitan area, NY, San Francisc
