CLS Lab Supervisor

Requirements

• License /Certification
• Required: CA Clinical Laboratory Scientist license.
• Required: Two years of clinical lab experience.
• Preferred:
• At least one year of experience as a CLS generalist in an acute care setting.
• Scheduling/staffing experience in a laboratory setting.
• Previous management experience in a clinical lab setting.
• JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Essential
• Oversees staff scheduling and coverage to ensure adequately skilled personnel are available at all times.
• Coordinates daily technical operations of the shift/facility.
• Identifies problems and pursues opportunities for improvement using creativity and innovation. Promotes teamwork in problem-solving and knows how to persist without alienating anyone to find a solution in the best interests of all parties.
• Develops, maintains and monitors quality control and quality improvement programs.
• Assures compliance with laws, regulations, policies, procedures and methods.
• Maintains continued competence of professional, technical and supervisory skills.

• Pay Range
• $48.30 -$72.45

The Lab Supervisor performs clinical laboratory testing and works closely with the Manager/Director of the service area to promote service quality based on accuracy and timeliness in reporting results.
