The Amazon Worldwide Grocery Stores team is looking for a Manager, Category Management to lead a team overseeing multiple facets of our multi-channel retail business (e.g., buying/vendor management, program management, trade planning) and identifying growth opportunities within our Home & Kitchen, Personal Care, Health, and Wellness Categories. They will be able to deliver results at both a strategic and tactical level across all aspects of the business and engage regularly with senior leaders. You will have accountability for business results of your team and product categories. Your direct responsibility will be to manage performance of the product portfolio including hiring and development of your team; developing and growing vendor relationships; expanding product selection and vendor base; leading negotiations; setting category strategy; collaborating on marketing programs; driving sales and margin improvements; and creating best-in-class customer experiences. The ideal candidate will have experience managing a team, have familiarity and experience in managing a financial P&L, and strong customer experience intuition, business and product sense combined with solid understanding of technical concepts. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. High judgment, ability to influence, analytical talent, exceptional communications, and leadership are essential to success in this role. Key job responsibilities -Manage, hire and develop a team of Category and Vendor Managers -Manage the P&L of an existing product portfolio while exploring new opportunities and innovation -Collaborate with functional partners (demand planning, inventory management, marketing, private brands, etc.) in order to deliver against KPIs (revenue, units, instock rate, shrink, etc.)
