About the role
This position is in the Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of the Secretary of Transportation (OST), Office of the Assistant Secretary for Administration, Departmental Office of Human Resources Management (DOHRM), Human Capital Planning and Solutions. To qualify for the Grade 14, you must have at least one year of experience equal or equivalent to the GS-13, it must include: Experience analyzing human capital data extracts to identify workforce trends and forecast long-term personnel objectives for leadership decision-making. Experience translating HR metrics into tailored, audience-appropriate briefings, enabling diverse stakeholders to easily understand and execute strategic initiatives. Experience investigating workforce planning challenges through proactive inquiry to deliver strategic products where definitive operational guidelines may be limited. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Data Analysis: Knowledge of the principles, methods, and processes used to analyze data and datasets; including investigating trends or anomalies, establishing relationships, and identifying patterns. Workforce Planning: Knowledge of human resource planning concepts, principles, and practices; including identifying current and future workforce needs, analyzing skills gaps, and developing strategic workforce alignment plans. Reasoning: Identifies rules, principles, or relationships that explain facts, data, or other information; analyzes information and makes correct inferences or draws accurate conclusions. Oral Communication (*) - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. For all types of consideration, experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).
