BYU Engineering Together Coordinator (part-time, 17.5 hours/week) The BYU Engineering Together (BE Together) Coordinator plays a key role in fostering an environment where all students feel welcomed, supported, and empowered to succeed within the College of Engineering. In partnership with the Weidman Center Manager, this position plans and delivers high-impact programs and events that enhance student engagement and belonging. The coordinator also collaborates with the BYU Office of Belonging, serving on their Belonging Managers Council and contributing to campus-wide initiatives. What you'll do in this position: Support administration of the BYU Engineering Together initiatives: Manage the Research Mentorship program Supervise the Snack and Study program Assist in the creation of new or updating existing BE Together initiatives Facilitate student access to resources in the college and university Facilitate logistics of the College of Engineering Belonging Faculty Committee Conduct and manage research related to student retention, belonging, and needs Mentor and supervise the BE Together student assistants Manage all BE Together marketing and internal/external communications, collaborating with the engineering communications team as needed. Prepare and operate within the BE Together annual budget Participate in the Belonging Managers Council, under BYU Office of Belonging Attend monthly meetings to learn about university policy, procedures, and other colleges' programs Support and promote Office of Belonging events Number of personnel supervised: 1-2 students What qualifies you for this role: Required: A firm commitment to the mission of BYU. BS or BA degree OR 4 years related experience OR equivalent combination of education & experience Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work in a professional manner with students, faculty, and staff Must be dependable, organized, and able to prioritize multiple tasks Demonstrated leadership skills such as taking ownership of assignments, the ability to work with diverse group of students, being self-motivated, and having the drive to learn and take initiative.
