Job Description: Registered Nurse (RN) Labor and Delivery, part-time, nights Location, Shift & Status, and Compensation Location: Platte Valley Hospital Status: Part-time, 24 hours per week Shift: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM Role Overview The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver responsible and accountable for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care. The RN applies the nursing process through the use of technology, therapeutic interventions, evidence-based practice, and coordination with interdisciplinary team members to deliver high-quality patient outcomes. Essential Functions Assess Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, social, psychological, cognitive, developmental, and communication needs Gather and evaluate information from patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members Integrate assessment data to support clinical decision-making Plan Develop individualized care plans using assessment findings and critical thinking Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and care teams to establish goals and care strategies Identify education needs and prepare patients for ongoing care, including referrals and follow-up support Implement Coordinate and delegate care across the interdisciplinary team as appropriate Deliver patient care in alignment with care plans, clinical guidelines, and licensure standards Prioritize and manage patient care effectively, including time, supplies, and resources Evaluate Monitor patient responses to interventions and evaluate progress toward goals Adjust care plans based on clinical outcomes, patient needs, and feedback Ensure patient and family satisfaction through continuous reassessment and communication Professionalism Promote the nursing profession and support the development of team members Adhere to legal, ethical, and regulatory standards Practice within scope of licensure and maintain accurate, timely documentation Understand and apply the legal implications of care delivery
