Additional Information

We are seeking experienced AWS Data Engineers with strong expertise in data migration and modernisation to support large-scale cloud transformation initiatives. You will play a key role in migrating data from legacy/on-premise systems to AWS, building robust data pipelines, and enabling scalable analytics platforms. The role involves designing and executing end-to-end data migration strategies, including lift-and-shift, re-platforming, and re-architecture approaches, to transition data from legacy systems to AWS. You will perform database migrations using AWS DMS to ensure minimal downtime, along with schema conversion and optimisation using AWS SCT. The position requires building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using AWS Glue, PySpark, and Lambda, while migrating both structured and unstructured data into S3-based data lakes. You will also be responsible for loading and optimising data in Amazon Redshift or other cloud data warehouses, ensuring data quality through validation, reconciliation, and assurance processes. Additionally, the role includes implementing data governance and security best practices using IAM, encryption, and access controls, collaborating closely with business and technical stakeholders to plan cutover strategies with minimal disruption, and continuously monitoring and troubleshooting data pipelines and migration workflows for performance and reliability. Strong experience in Data Engineering. Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services (S3, Glue, Lambda, Redshift, RDS, EC2). Strong experience in data migration projects. Expertise in AWS DMS and Schema Conversion Tool (SCT). Strong programming skills in Python and SQL. Experience with big data frameworks such as Spark or PySpark. Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and data modelling. Experience building and managing ETL/ELT pipelines.
