Field Operations Specialist

About the role

You will serve as a FIELD OPERATIONS SPECIALIST for US Small Business Administration, Field Operations Center West - FOCW in Citrus Heights, California. This position provides assistance in disaster recovery operations and the field administration of the SBA Disaster Loan Program to disaster survivors. GS-12: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector: Implementing policies, guidelines, and/or procedures for a disaster or emergency program; AND Leading or overseeing team operations in the field; AND Planning and delivering employee training; AND Assessing the needs of an operational program and adapting the appropriate mix of resources and skills required to meet those needs. These qualifications must be clearly referenced in your resume. There is no education substitution for this grade level. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Generally, time in Non-Pay status as a federal employee is not creditable towards the specialized experience requirement listed above.
