About the role
The Customer Success team is composed of 3 teams: the pre-sales team, the post-sales team, and the support team. This role would manage the UK Financial Services Pre-sales team - a critical driver of growth. Pre-Sales Consultants act as trusted partners to our Account Executives, working closely with prospective clients to demonstrate the value of our platform and help win new business. Pre-Sales Consultant combine deep product knowledge, commercial acumen, industry experience and strong client intuition to run high-impact evaluations. They work across Financial Services verticals, engaging with decision-makers and users to uncover use cases, run tailored demos, and guide prospects to successful outcomes. Additionally, because of the extensive exposure they have with clients, they are also in a prime position to partner with our Product Management and Content teams to help determine future product developments that will resonate with the market, as well as playing a key role in product Betas and the customer feedback loop. About The Role & What You'll Do: The Pre-Sales Manager (FS team) will be responsible for managing a team of Pre-Sales Consultants who are responsible for : Partnering with Account Executives to run seamless product evaluations and drive new business across key verticals Lead product demos, discovery calls, and tailored workshops to uncover and position value Translate client challenges into compelling use cases that showcase the power of AlphaSense Collaborate with Support, Sales, Product, and Content teams to close feedback loops and influence roadmap priorities Maintain a consultative, user-first mindset throughout every evaluation, building trust and credibility with prospective clients and cross-functional stakeholders We are looking for a team oriented, data-driven leader who can have an impact on the continued growth of this team. The duties of the Pre-Sales Manager include: Directly leading a team of Pre-sales Consultants who are responsible for supporting AEs in closing trials by providing white glove and value-add client service. Aggregating feedback and pivoting pilot programs to allow for optimal renewal rates, revenue growth, and uncovering the key support this team can offer to our revenue organisation. As part of this, taking initiatives is key to continuously improving our organisation & updating internal processes. Coaching and mentoring members of your team on development, call coaching, implementing best practices, and establishing accountability across the team. As part of this you will drive onboarding, certification and ongoing enablement programmes in partnership with Sales Enablement. This includes adapting your managerial style to each direct report to effectively support and challenge them. Providing transparency and insight into your team's performance to management, which includes tracking and reporting day-to-day metrics. Evaluating & implementing resource coverage models to support growth, and recruiting top talent for your growing team while maintaining a high bar of excellence. Building impactful relationships with cross-functional leaders (Sales, Account Management, Sales Enablement, Product, Marketing, etc.) to ensure alignment and drive successful growth outcomes. Diligently learn about our product and feed additional ideas to bridge the gap between feature roll-outs, the future roadmap, and user requests for platform updates.
