Responsibilities
- Commission & Variable Incentive Management
- Own monthly, quarterly, and annual variable incentive programs, including MBOs, presale commissions, and sales commissions.
- Validate sales performance data, compensation plan eligibility, and payout calculations.
- Maintain and update Xactly Incent to reflect earned commissions, adjustments, clawbacks, and payment status.

- Payroll Coordination
- Collaborate with HR and Payroll to ensure timely and accurate release of commissions and MBO payments.
- Provide payroll-ready files, approvals, and documentation for each commission cycle.
- Resolve discrepancies between payroll records, Xactly Incent, and accounting schedules.
- Process & System Management
- Maintain commission plan documentation, workflows, and internal controls.
- Support enhancements to Xactly Incent, including configuration updates, testing, and data validation.
- Leverage AI tools and automation to streamline accounting workflows, enhance reporting accuracy, and improve operational efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 1-2 years of accounting experience, preferably with exposure to commissions or variable compensation.
- Experience with Xactly Incent strongly preferred; other commission systems an asset.
- Strong understanding of accrual accounting and financial reporting.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas).
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem‑solving ability.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.

Position Overview The General Accountant is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of variable compensation accounting, and support the Accounting team with financial reporting. This role ensures accurate monthly accruals, timely payment processing, and complete alignment between financial reporting, payroll, and our software system. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with Sales Operations, Finance, and HR/Payroll teams.
