About the role
We are currently hiring for a Senior Financial Analyst role within our highly professional and strategically focused business partnering team, reporting to the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager. Working with the end state in mind is conceptual in approach and can assist in managing the full spectrum of strategic/financial activities. Supports FP&A in cross-functional knowledge integration from various enabling areas.
Responsibilities
- Understands key financial and operational performance drivers and helps integrate them consistently into our business management reporting processes
- Develop detailed financial models to evaluate the potential return on investment (ROI) and cost-benefit analysis for projects
- Work closely with the accounting and Pricing teams to ensure accurate reporting.
- Support the development/refinement of appropriate efficiency metrics, dashboards and financial/non-financial KPIs to enable effective performance management
- Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements
- Prepare financial performance reporting for monthly leadership reviews. Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts
- Manage and analyze information that is predictive and useful
Requirements
- BA, BS, or B.Com degree required (Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics)
- Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) designation required
- 3+ years of business finance or other relevant experience (Financial Services of P&C Insurance experience considered an asset)
- Advanced proficiency with Excel formulas and functions is required. Also willing to independently search for efficient alternatives to build effective Excel models
- Strong analytical and data gathering skills
- Great communication skills with a variety of business partners
- What you'll get
- The salary band for this position ranges from $75,000.00 to $90,000.00. Please note that individual salary is determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience, as well as internal equity
