Job Description: Define and own the technical vision, architecture, and roadmap for power electronics systems. Lead the design, simulation, prototyping, and validation of high-efficiency rectifier and DC-DC converter systems (10 kW to >5 MW). Drive innovation in cost-effective, scalable, and high-efficiency power conversion for electrolyzer stacks. Partner with mechanical, thermal, and systems engineering to co-optimize packaging, cooling, and integration. Recruit, mentor, and lead a multidisciplinary team of power electronics engineers and technicians. Evaluate and manage relationships with component vendors, contract manufacturers, and external design partners. Ensure compliance with relevant grid codes, EMC/EMI standards, UL, IEC, IEEE or other regulatory frameworks. Work cross-functionally with Product, Manufacturing, and Operations teams to align technical goals with commercial requirements. Support the development of internal and external IP strategy in power electronics and system design Guide the firmware architecture, coding standards, testing, and release processes to ensure high reliability and maintainability. Ensure firmware co-development is tightly integrated with hardware design for optimal system-level performance. Collaborate with systems and stack engineering to align control strategies with electrolyzer operational requirements.
