Requirements

• KNOW HOW/EXPERIENCE:
• Qualified candidates will have:
• Minimum of 2 years prior serving experience in a quality club/hotel/restaurant
• Knowledge of fine wines and food
• Strong listening and oral communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and a "customer first" mentality
• Demonstrated knowledge and ability to adhere to quality standards for safety, sanitation and food handling
• Act in a courteous, friendly, and professional manner
• ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
• Must be willing to work weekend, holiday, and evening shifts
• Ability to lift a maximum of 50 lb

THE JOB The Special Event's Staff primary function is to deliver food and beverage to guests in a professional manner following all House of Blues standards. WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO - Serving the host and guest of a party - all timelines and services must be met or exceeded to a four-star standard - Serving buffets, sit-down, dinners, and hors d'oeuvres parties - Setting tables with quality china, glass, silver, and following all details of event order - Ensuring high standards by following service standards of department - Exceeding customer expectations by anticipating service needs - Organizing motions to maximize efficiency of set-up and service - Ensuring creativity of buffets and day-to-day customer special needs - Promoting an excellent work environment by following Standards of Excellence - Providing hands-on activity with making of candelabras, sauced stations, and quality checks of room and individual tables - Assignment requires working in areas with high-levels of background noise (bands, guests) - Ensuring a safe working environment by following all work practices
