The Supply Chain Planner is a crucial role in customer satisfaction & operational efficiency. It will support the Operations and Planning teams by executing daily supply chain planning, order-management, shipment-tracking, and coordination with the commercial and operations team. This role serves as a key communication point for planning deliveries and managing inquiries via managing supply chain requests. This individual is ensuring customer inquiries are addressed, ship dates are accurate, and risks to on-time delivery are identified and escalated. This role will be the key driver in managing the status updates to sales & commercial ops of potential missed / missed shipments by ensuring that production planning & production develop recovery plans and communication of any deviation is immediately addressed. The Supply Chain Planner processes RMAs, updates work order release/completion timing, revises shipment commitments, and maintains accurate late-code and promise-date data within the ERP system. This position ensures product movement aligns with customer expectations and internal production schedules while supporting continuous improvement across planning processes. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES* (List of 8 - 10 key tasks required of the job which are essential to the performance of this job. LIMIT OF 4,000 CHARACTERS) Manage the State College planning email inbox and provide timely responses to internal customers Ensure product delivery dates are met and escalate risks to missed shipments. Update revised shipment dates in the ERP system. Process and track RMAs to ensure accuracy and proper documentation. Update work order release and completion dates. Maintain and update late codes, sales lead time metrics, and promise-date accuracy. Support missed-shipment reviews with root-cause details and corrective actions. Initiate and assist in continuous improvement initiatives Manage the communication between Commercial Operations and Planning regarding customer delivery expectations / requirements and changes, and evaluates scheduling priorities needed to support fluctuating demands in sales and customer requirements and manages prioritizing work flow with planning's releases to the production floor. Manages daily communication with production on released work orders that are critical to shipments or forecast, and provide updates to planning on action plan from production if a miss is expected Manages daily with planning to ensure workorders needing released daily can be released, and if they cannot be follows up with production / purchasing on any late orders affecting daily work order releases. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 5+ years of experience in supply chain, production planning, or order management. Strong organizational and decision-making abilities. Proficiency with ERP systems Strong analytical skills and understanding of supply-chain workflows. Effective communication skills across teams. Ability to work independently with high accuracy.
