  • Welding Journeyperson ticket, or interprovincial Red Seal, is required

  • Must be able to communicate written and spoken English effectively
  • Ability to regularly lift and handle material weighing up to 40 pounds
  • A condition of employment is the ability to be fit tested and the ability to wear a respirator
  • Candidate must demonstrate the ability to work in a safe manner and comply in all aspects of the organizations policies and procedures
  • Note:
  • This posting is for a static afternoon shift scheduled Monday - Thursday; 10 hours per day
  • Any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement

With the exception of thermal spray application, employees working in this job classification are required to be apprentice/certified journeyperson welders. Job Description: Repair worn parts and welding stock material to bring back parts to specifications Read and interpret blueprints and welding process specifications Fit sub-assemblies and assemblies together and prepare for welding Lay out, cut and form metal to specifications Fully Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment Able to operate manual or semi-automatic flame cutting equipment Operate brazing and soldering equipment
