Responsibilities
- MATERIAL HANDLING & STORAGE Receive, unload, and check incoming materials, verifying identity, quantity, and condition.
- Store and organize materials in designated areas, ensuring inventory accuracy and accessibility.
- Deliver raw materials, parts, and components to production areas as required.
- Maintain assigned storage areas in a neat, orderly, and safe condition.
- EQUIPMENT OPERATION Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, aisle stackers, dollies, and other powered or manual material handling equipment.
- Operate overhead cranes from booth or floor controls to move heavy materials and equipment as required.
- Perform daily equipment inspection and basic preventative maintenance on assigned vehicles.
- INVENTORY & DOCUMNTATION Complete and maintain accurate records, including packing slips, bills of lading, shipping/receiving forms, and inventory logs.
- Assist with cycle counts and other inventory control activities to support accuracy and efficiency.
- Report shortages, defects, or non-standard material conditions to supervision promptly.
- SAFETY, HOUSEKEEPING, & CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT Follow all safety, environmental, and quality guidelines related to warehouse operations.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in accordance with 5S principles.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and team-driven problem-solving.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication)
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain required
- Six to Twelve (6-12) months of experience in warehouse, shipping/receiving, or material handling preferred.
- Experience operating reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, or other material handling equipment is desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively in team environment.
- Working Conditions
- Work performed in manufacturing or warehouse environment with exposure to temperature extremes, noise, dust, and moving equipment.
- Requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting to 50 lbs.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as directed.
- Must be able to work various shifts or overtime as needed to support production
