Director, Client Services Division

About the role

The position is located in the Architect of the Capitol (AOC), Office of the Chief of Operations, Executive Director for Facilities, House Office Buildings, serving as the Director of the Client Services Division. Directs client services support functions for critical House buildings including the Rayburn, Longworth, Cannon, Ford and O'Neil House Office Buildings. You must meet the United States Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) qualification requirements (including specialized experience and/or educational requirements) for the advertised position. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Candidates for the GS-15 grade level must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as having experience: Providing strategic leadership over facilities operations and services; Developing and/or managing multi-million dollar budgets and contracts; Leading and/or supervising a large, diverse workforce; Coordinating with high level stakeholders, including Congressional and/or executive level leadership; Implementing large scale organizational changes and/or process improvements; AND Meeting with bargaining unit representatives for employee related matters. The ideal candidate possesses exemplary client service skills, the ability to resolve conflict and address challenging situations, and has experience developing a culture of customer service excellence. Experience in overseeing execution of budgets and complex contracts and experience in the hospitality industry is highly desirable.
