Travel MedSurg/Telemetry RN - $1,926 per week

About the role

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Acute Neurosurgery and ENT unit, requiring a valid NC or compact RN license and at least one year of nursing experience. Details 18-bed acute post-op unit specializing in Neurosurgery and ENT patients Neurosurgery cases include brain and spinal surgeries, traumas, cancer, stroke, and intracranial bleeds ENT cases include head and neck malignancies, cancer, infection, and procedures involving the head, mouth, tongue, jaw, thyroid, and oropharynx Patient ratio is 1:5 Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hrs/week) Every other weekend required No on-call required

Requirements

• Active RN license in North Carolina (standard or compact) required
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
• Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required
• Nursing Diploma or ADN/ASN from an accredited school of nursing required; BSN or MSN preferred
• Additional Information
• Must be available for every other holiday (EOH) coverage
• May be required to function as charge nurse; training will be provided
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, discharge planning, interdisciplinary collaboration, and point-of-care testing
