AECOM is looking for a Senior Power System Studies Engineer to join our team in The Netherlands. Here is what you will do: - System Design and Engineering: - Develop and implement designs for power system components, including substations, transformers or renewable projects. - Perform power system studies and analyses, including load flow, short circuit, arc-flash, stability, and reliability assessments. - Project Management: - Assist in the planning, scheduling, and execution of power system projects. - Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely project completion. - Prepare cost estimates, project reports, and resource allocation plans. - System Analysis and Optimization: - Conduct power system modelling and simulations to identify and resolve potential issues. - Optimize system performance through the implementation of advanced technologies and best practices. - Monitor system performance and recommend upgrades or modifications as needed. - Compliance and Standards: - Ensure all designs and projects comply with industry standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE, NERC), company policies, and regulatory requirements. - Stay updated with the latest technological advancements and industry best practices. - Documentation and Reporting: - Prepare technical documentation, including design drawings, specifications, and maintenance procedures. - Generate reports on project progress, system performance, and inspection outcomes.
