About the role
In this role, you will report to Supervisor, Onsite Services and will work closely with the Avantor's Lab and Production Services team of over 1,500 on- and off-site expert personnel - and our customers - to perform customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science. Location: Malvern, PA 19355 Schedule: 1st Shift/ M-F 7:30 am - 4 pm Hourly Rate: $22.50/hr.
Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required
- Experience : 2+ years' experience in material handling/inventory replenishment or customer service
- Collaboration Tool: Knowledge of Information, intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office, with proficiency in Word and Excel
- Conform to all company and customer requirements for background checks, health and safety issues, and security clearances.
- Solid understanding and experience in either shipping, inventory, or purchasing.
- Excellent Customer Service Skills; displays a professional can-do attitude.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs.
- Travel may be required between buildings.

- Conduct daily reviews of chemical inventory and promptly resolve inventory, planning, and supply chain issues.
- Perform annual reviews and reconciliation of chemical inventories across all laboratories.
- Reconcile chemical materials for each lab to ensure accurate and up-to-date records in the inventory database.
- Conduct routine cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies as needed.
- Communicate with suppliers as required to obtain proof of delivery and resolve shipment inquiries.
- Review and address issues related to expiration dates, duplicate shipments, shipment overages, incorrect deliveries, and no-charge replacements.
- Collaborate with material purchasing teams to optimize inventory investment and usage.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
