GS-06: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-05) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Examples of assisting with wildland fire management, suppression, and control in order to minimize loss of natural resources, property or life by performing engine operation duties (e.g. start pump engines, prime pumps, adjust engine speed and pump valves, lay hoses, etc.), operating and maintaining equipment used to respond to wildland fires, assisting with implementing prescribed burning programs, and driving engine to fire locations and determining how the equipment can best be used in firer control and mop-up operation. Seasonal experience may also be creditable. A season of experience is considered to be a period of no less than 3 months of continuous employment on a seasonal basis.
