SHE Media: Senior Writer, Health & Wellness SHE Media's health brand, Flow Space, launched in March 2023 at SXSW, is hiring a Senior Writer, Health & Wellness. Flow Space serves to educate and connect women in their third life chapter and beyond. Flow Space integrates science and stories that inspire women to invest in their whole life health. The Senior Writer, Health & Wellness will be a key member of the Flow Space editorial team, working closely with the Editorial Director to create content across the full spectrum of midlife women's health and wellness - from longevity science and health optimization to fashion, beauty, nutrition, and lifestyle. The ideal candidate is a skilled, curious, and versatile writer with deep roots in health journalism and the range to move fluidly across categories and formats. They are as comfortable filing a deeply-reported feature on healthspan innovation as they are writing a sharp beauty roundup-and conceiving and filming a social video about it. They bring a strong network of experts, medical professionals and compelling sources to every story they tell. The Senior Writer, Health & Wellness will stay ahead of news cycle, tracking developments across women's health and the broader cultural landscape, knowing when something is a quick hit and when it's a story worth chasing. As SHE Media values in-person collaboration and team cohesion, employees work onsite 4 days a week and 1 day remotely with a focus on maintaining a vibrant and inclusive culture. The Work Pitch and write high-quality content across health, longevity, innovation, beauty, fashion, nutrition, and lifestyle - with health as your north star and genuine range as your superpower Produce clean, expert copy on deadline across formats: deeply reported features, news hits, roundups, interview series, and special packages Collaborate with the social and video team on content ideation - contributing a steady stream of fresh, platform-native story ideas and helping translate editorial into compelling content across channels. Comfort in front of camera a plus, not a prerequisite. Optimize content for SEO, social, syndication, and other referral sources; leverage traffic analytics to increase engagement and grow audience Source, identify, and interview experts, community voices, and compelling subjects across both article and video formats Act as a Flow Space ambassador - comfortable taking the stage at live events, speaking on panels, and engaging confidently on camera in service of the brand. Stay current on trends and developments across health and wellness - and across the broader cultural landscape impacting midlife women Bring an innovative, forward-thinking mindset to content creation, with fluency in emerging tools including AI, and a willingness to experiment with new formats and workflows. E-commerce and affiliate content experience is a plus The Fine Print 7-10 years of professional writing experience at an online health, wellness, or lifestyle brand - health writing is the foundation, range is the differentiator Strong editorial judgment and the ability to translate complex topics into content that's engaging, accurate, and useful to real women Fluency in digital strategy, analytics, and SEO best practices Comfort generating content ideas for social and video - you think in stories, not just articles A genuine passion for women's health and a solid roster of industry contacts A good faith estimate of the salary range is $90k - $105k upon hire.
