$46,000-$55,000Department:SoftballAbout this opportunity:Ball State University Athletics seeks a highly motivated and energetic professional to join our softball program as an Assistant/Associate Softball Coach. Located in Muncie, Indiana, Ball State is a proud member of the Mid-American Conference (MAC) and competes at the NCAA Division I level.Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.What you'll do and what you'll bring:Position Function: Provide teaching and instruction to student-athletes; develop softball student-athletes on and off the field and assist the Head Coach with program management.Duties and Responsibilities:Provide teaching and instruction to student-athletes.Perform duties in all areas of the program at the direction of the head coach, athletic director and/or sport supervisor.Develop, in conjunction with the head coach, planning of practice sessions and competitive coaching situations.Support cultivating a strong competitive recruit database, help manage and keep up to date filtering of recruiting software.Assess and evaluate talent and recruitment of athletes into the program; includes contact by telephone and mail; off campus evaluations; on campus visits.Oversee team travel arrangements.Develop scouting reports and pre-competition evaluations of opponents.Work in conjunction with head coach to implement fund raising opportunities on a yearly basis.Oversee and direct all Ball State softball camps and clinics.Supervise and mentor graduate assistant and/or volunteer assistant coaches.Show commitment to and responsibility for adherence to all rules and regulations of Ball State University, the Mid-American Conference, and the NCAA; pass the NCAA certification examination on an annual basis.Perform other related duties as assigned.Let's fly together toward a secure and prosperous tomorrow.Curious about our excellent benefits package?We have developed a calculator that shows you the value of our core benefits.
