Transportation Mechanic - Helena, AR As a Transportation Mechanic in Helena, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and operational readiness of our transportation and facility equipment. You will contribute directly to business continuity by maintaining vital assets, supporting production efficiency, and upholding regulatory compliance. Essential Job Functions Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on transportation equipment including forklifts, man-lifts, and other vehicles to ensure maximum reliability Inspect, test, and troubleshoot mechanical systems to identify and resolve issues efficiently Execute maintenance work orders and preventative maintenance schedules using Intelex Ensure all transportation equipment complies with DOT regulations and internal safety standards Maintain accurate logs of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities Promote and adhere to food safety, quality, and GMP standards in all maintenance activities Collaborate with the maintenance team and site leadership to support operational goals and continuous improvement Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all safety procedures Qualifications & Experience High School Diploma required; Associate Degree preferred 0-4 years of experience in manufacturing or mechanical maintenance environments Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience using hand and power tools Basic knowledge of welding (MIG and ARC) and precision measuring tools preferred DOT Inspector Certification preferred Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment Strong communication skills and basic computer proficiency (MS Office/Windows)
