About the role

You will serve as a IT SPECIALIST (SYSADMIN/INFOSEC) in the A2 OPS MAINTENANCE & INTEGRATION, INFO TECH SERVICES DEPARTMENT of FLT NUMER OCEANGPHY METEO CTR. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience evaluating systems' capabilities to meet new requirements; providing a basis for developing feasible alternative designs, and to provide a basis for user consultation and operational troubleshooting Experience in lifecycle management and system design to evaluate requirements and implement technical modifications. Experience applying Information Assurance (IA) principles, including conducting vulnerability assessments, hardening systems, and supporting formal security accreditation processes. Experience conducting system administration duties on Linux systems including the configuration and management of large-scale clustered environments or high-performance computing (HPC) architectures. Experience demonstrating proficiency in scripting languages (such as Python, Bash, or C/C++) to automate administrative tasks and integrating complex software into operational systems. Experience supporting complex Cyber Security support for Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts and Bulletins (IAVA/IAVB) to ensure low-level Cyber Threat posture. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
