About the role

Reporting to the Group Finance Manager and leading a team of seven offshore members, the Finance Manager, UK, Europe and North America is responsible for financial control, regional reporting integrity, and the timely delivery of month-end results across the European and North American entities. Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of seven offshore Financial Accountants and Senior Financial Accountants, setting clear expectations, driving accountability and embedding consistent delivery against group timelines.
  • Full ownership of regional P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow for Europe and North America entities, including complex accounting judgements and technical journals.
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of entity balance sheets, including timely preparation and review of reconciliations in line with Group accounting policies.
  • Lead the end-to-end month-end close for assigned entities, delivering high-quality results for consolidation into IFRS and US GAAP group reporting.
  • Oversight of revenue recognition, deferred revenue liabilities and intercompany transactions across regional entities.
  • Deliver clear and commercially relevant performance commentary, including analysis of revenue, margin and cash drivers, to support regional leadership decision-making.
  • Support Group statutory audit requirements (IFRS and US GAAP) and coordinate/support local subsidiary audits (UK GAAP), acting as the main contact for local external auditors.
  • Ensure compliance with local statutory, regulatory and internal reporting obligations across multiple jurisdictions (Europe and North America).
  • Partner with the brand partnerships team and other departments to resolve complex finance operational issues.
  • Oversee regional treasury activities, responsible for the on-time submission of liquidity reporting and the optimisation of cash management strategies in assigned regions.
  • Monitor and approve day-to-day finance operations (e.g. purchase orders, supplier invoices, customer invoice adjustments) to maintain strong internal controls.
  • Coordinate with the Group Tax Manager on local tax reporting and lodgements (e.g. VAT, corporate income tax) to ensure compliance and manage risk.
  • Drive continuous improvement across finance processes, reporting and models.
  • Support ad hoc projects and high-priority financial analysis as required.
  • What are we looking for:
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing accounting teams, including offshore resources, with a focus on accountability and performance.
  • Experience as a Finance Manager within a multinational environment, specifically overseeing multiple legal entities.
  • Fully qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA (or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience.
  • Expert knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP; practical experience with UK/EU VAT and income tax is highly advantageous.
  • A track record of identifying financial risks and independently developing/implementing solutions.
  • Proven ability to work effectively within a global team, demonstrating the flexibility to support colleagues across various time zones (Australia, UK and US).
  • Advanced Excel skills and deep experience with ERP systems (Workday ERP experience will be advantageous).
