Head of Investment Risk Oversight

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a robust investment risk framework aligned to regulatory expectations and organisational strategy.
• Provide independent second-line oversight and challenge of investment strategies, proposals, and risk analytics.
• Monitor and assess portfolio risks across asset classes, including market, credit, liquidity, and ESG considerations.
• Lead governance, policy development, and regulatory engagement to ensure effective investment risk management.
• Partner with investment teams and senior stakeholders to drive risk awareness, reporting, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in investment risk management within pensions, asset management, or insurance.
• Strong understanding of institutional investment strategies and risk analytics.
• Proven leadership experience in a second-line risk oversight role.
• Familiarity with risk systems and data platforms (e.g. Bloomberg, MSCI RiskMetrics, Aladdin, or similar).
• Professional qualifications such as CFA, FRM, or equivalent.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
